The integrated shackle pin mount is machined to the hook’s body and is secured by the double-locking safety clasp, ensuring consistent performance without compromise. When not in use, the hook folds against the fairleads for rattle-free stowing on your vehicle even during the most aggressive driving applications. The hook can act as a shackle mount or conventional hook opening, and can be used with either a synthetic rope or steel cables up to 3/8″ in diameter. Lightweight yet Hardcore Construction with a max load of 16,000 pounds, the Factor 55 UltraHook will be able to handle practically any application under any circumstances. Specifically, the hook was crafted using lightweight CNC machined 7000 Series military grade aluminum and is coated with a hard anodized red finish to help it better endure the elements.
